Oh I just absolutely love this time of year… I mean I’ll make a bag with a bat ANYtime, but it always feels a little more passionate in October 🖤. This beautiful vintage velvet tapestry from Morocco is the perfect backdrop for the bat, cut from reclaimed leather and stitched in place. It reminds me of a vampire in front of a stained glass church window…. I really wanted to expand on the Gothic feel the bag already was developing, and I cut large decorative “hinges” at the sides and attached them with domed rivets. Fully lined in a coordinating gold swirl fabric, which is water resistant. There is one large exterior phone pocket, 2 interior pockets, a zip top, embossed leather double straps and a reinforced base. Antiqued silver hardware. It’s large, but not huge. Perfect for a light weekend getaway, a day of shopping or just a big purse that holds an extra sweater. Great for an airline carry-on!
